Our cottages are
located in a small residential compound known as
Roehl's Beach. It is set off of Lakeshore Drive
(M-25) by a stone wall/fence, with a mortared stone
base topped by white pickets and is accessed through
two nine foot tall stone pillars. The Roehl's Beach
compound has a circular drive with two islands on
which one has a large fountain built in the 1920's.
Also of that era are 35 cement urns filled with
beautiful flowers and vines. The owners have 350
feet of lake frontage and the entire southern side
of the compound includes the big stone house, the
Pine and Log cottages, tennis court, shuffleboard
court, area for horseshoes, croquet and an
ornamental pond with a bridge. There are 20
perennial gardens scattered throughout and along
side the stone walls on both sides.

There are two raised wooden decks
approximately 15 x 15 and 12 x 12 overlooking Lake
Huron. They each have a table, umbrella, 4
